Product Brands
The early 1950's had their share of famous product names, what we now tend to call 'brands'. Apart from Jennifer Shaw's wardrobe of fashion 'labels' like Jaeger and Roger Vivier, the novel's story is peppered with the kind of items that make up everyday life. From Voightländer and Braun cameras to Parker and Osmiroid pens, Revlon and Elizabeth Arden cosmetics.

Some 'brands' - like the Bond three-wheeler car - have long gone. Others, like Poggenpohl kitchens, the Beano comic and Teacher's whisky, are still with us.
